Today's class 1/6/11
Today in class we discussed a few more of the questions from the homework. We also watched a video documentary on North Korea. It was about a Doctor who traveled to North Korea to perform a thousand cataract surgeries on the blind there in ten days. National Geographic traveled with him to document his work and secretly film some of what life was like in North Korea. One of the camera crew wanted to take a picture of the statue of North Korea's leader, Kim Jung-il, and he had to lay on the ground to take it because it was so big. Their guide that was with him scolded the camera man for doing that saying it was disrespectful and that he threatened to throw them out of the country.
